Stay Believing

Building strong
From the base
Up to the face,
From the pedestal
To the mental,
The Grand vestibule,
The entrance,
Where the mind unwinds
And grinds into its
Sediments and Sentiments;
But, it all begins
In its place.
When my feet need rest
from the daily race,
I look to God
As the place
To hang my Faith,
For the evening,
And even
When my feet are
Still Running strong.
Stay Believing.

Easy Does It

A candle lit
As a sign of hope,
A gentle reminder
To help one cope;
One swift wind
Could bring back doubt,
But for now we Burn
without.

Breathe, Praise, Let It Out

The tests never cease.
So, we must stand strong in praise,
And walk on with ease.

HealthyWage Challenge Day 121

Weight: 158 lbs. I ran another 15 miles today. That’s 4 days in a row. (But Wait! There’s more!) Like I said yesterday, I’m not sure why I felt like this would be a good idea. I think I just wanted to prove to myself that I am capable of a lot more than I think. I watched some motivational Navy SEAL stuff, and that made me feel like I had an obligation to push my limits. In particular, there was a story about a guy who hired a SEAL as his trainer. The first night the SEAL made him do as many pull-ups...

HealthyWage Challenge Day 120

Weight: 159 lbs. I ran another 2 hours today. That’s 3 days in a row. I’m not sure why I felt like this would be a good idea. I think I just wanted to prove to myself I am capable of a lot more than I think. However, after 3 days my legs feel terrible, and it is not really good for weight loss either. I eat too much food to try to recover from the run. Also, I don’t think it would be good for weight loss even if I didn’t eat too much because my body would still be...

HealthyWage Challenge Day 119

Weight: 157 lbs. I ran another 2 hours today. I felt pretty good when I woke up despite not getting 8 hours of sleep (I’m not sure that barely ever do, but I only got about 6 last night); however, my legs, my knees, and the tops of my feet have been sore ever since I finished my run. My arches started cramping up when I was coming down the home stretch with about 1 mile left to go, and I felt like I was hitting that infamous marathon wall. However, God willing, I would like to run another 2 hours...

HealthyWage Challenge Day 118

Weight: 157.6 lbs. I think I spent my calories today. It also was just a good day in general. God blessed me with creativity today as well. I was thinking in rhymes while running. HealthyWage Challenge Day 117

Weight: 158 lbs. I went on vacation for a week. I ate a lot of junk food. I continued that trend today; however, I did do some walking today. Now, I am back up to 158 lbs. I have to get strict about this diet so that I can win this bet. Today’s Exercise: QTY 1 ea. sets of the Anderson Ab workout. You can check out the post from Day 2 if you aren’t familiar with it. HealthyWage Challenge Day 109

Weight: 152.4 lbs. Today was a pretty complete day. It had its share of positives and a few negatives. I did some exercise, and I exercised the option to partake in vices. I received and embraced some opportunities with gratitude, and perhaps I missed few opportunities. So, overall, it was a pretty complete day, and I’m pretty happy about that. I can’t sweat the missed opportunities; I just have to keep playing. Today’s Exercise: QTY 2 ea. sets of the Anderson Ab workout. You can check out the post from Day 2 if you aren’t familiar with it.
