HealthyWage Challenge Day 121

Weight: 158 lbs. I ran another 15 miles today. That’s 4 days in a row. (But Wait! There’s more!) Like I said yesterday, I’m not sure why I felt like this would be a good idea. I think I just wanted to prove to myself that I am capable of a lot more than I think. I watched some motivational Navy SEAL stuff, and that made me feel like I had an obligation to push my limits. In particular, there was a story about a guy who hired a SEAL as his trainer. The first night the SEAL made him do as many pull-ups...

HealthyWage Challenge Day 120

Weight: 159 lbs. I ran another 2 hours today. That’s 3 days in a row. I’m not sure why I felt like this would be a good idea. I think I just wanted to prove to myself I am capable of a lot more than I think. However, after 3 days my legs feel terrible, and it is not really good for weight loss either. I eat too much food to try to recover from the run. Also, I don’t think it would be good for weight loss even if I didn’t eat too much because my body would still be...

HealthyWage Challenge Day 119

Weight: 157 lbs. I ran another 2 hours today. I felt pretty good when I woke up despite not getting 8 hours of sleep (I’m not sure that barely ever do, but I only got about 6 last night); however, my legs, my knees, and the tops of my feet have been sore ever since I finished my run. My arches started cramping up when I was coming down the home stretch with about 1 mile left to go, and I felt like I was hitting that infamous marathon wall. However, God willing, I would like to run another 2 hours...

HealthyWage Challenge Day 109

Weight: 152.4 lbs. Today was a pretty complete day. It had its share of positives and a few negatives. I did some exercise, and I exercised the option to partake in vices. I received and embraced some opportunities with gratitude, and perhaps I missed few opportunities. So, overall, it was a pretty complete day, and I’m pretty happy about that. I can’t sweat the missed opportunities; I just have to keep playing. Today’s Exercise: QTY 2 ea. sets of the Anderson Ab workout. You can check out the post from Day 2 if you aren’t familiar with it. QTY 2 ea sets of QTY...

HealthyWage Challenge Day 108

Weight: 151.4 lbs. Today was pretty similar to yesterday, but I got home late and didn’t feel like making dinner; so, I ate another bowl of cereal. Another positive, is that I went another day without any sweets. That is a good accomplishment for me. Today’s Exercise: QTY 1 ea. sets of the Anderson Ab workout. You can check out the post from Day 2 if you aren’t familiar with it. QTY 40 ea. push-ups 4  mile jog Breakfast: A bowl of cocoa cheerios cereal with raspberries and milk A glass of milk A cup of unsweetened green tea Water Lunch: Half of a kielbasa...

HealthyWage Challenge Day 107

Weight: 152.6 lbs. I forgot to log yesterday, but I’ve been working my way back down in weight after eating a lot of junk food in prior days. I also didn’t eat any sweets today (or what I consider sweets anyway). Today’s Exercise: QTY 1 ea. sets of the Anderson Ab workout. You can check out the post from Day 2 if you aren’t familiar with it. QTY 40 ea. push-ups 4  mile jog Breakfast: A bowl of oats and more cereal with blueberries and milk A glass of milk Water Lunch: Taco salad Water Dinner: Half of a kielbasa some strawberries a cucumber unsweetened tea Water...

HealthyWage Challenge Day 103

Weight: 151.4 lbs. I ran 13 miles today, but I think I burned all of those miles off by eating plenty of food. There were a couple of strange things on my run. First there was this old guy dressed in light brown slacks, black suspenders, a white button down shirt, dress shoes, and pitch black sunglasses. He was walking slow and almost stumbling a bit. I was wondering if he was blind. I crossed paths with him twice and both times, just before I passed him, he put his hands up in the air. The second thing that I enjoyed...

HealthyWage Challenge Day 102

Weight: 151.6 lbs. I skipped the post from day 101. I’ve been caught up in the rat race this week trying to chase the dollar bill. The time is starting to blur, and I haven’t had as much time to do the things that I prefer to do. I guess the positive side is that it always makes the runs that much sweeter. Today’s Exercise: QTY 1 ea. sets of the Anderson Ab workout. You can check out the post from Day 2 if you aren’t familiar with it. QTY 40 ea. push-ups 4 mile jog Breakfast: Cocoa Cheerios cereal with whole milk and bueberries A glass...
